ABOUT THE SESSION:

A likely surge in medical malpractice claims frequency and severity are expected to occur when Assembly Bill (AB 35) goes into effect on January 1, 2023. Learn more about the changes to California’s long standing MICRA law contained in AB 35, and what you can do to protect your practice.

During this webinar we will:

  • Discuss the history, rationale and key provisions of MICRA that have been in place since 1975
  • Identify the most impactful changes to MICRA contained in Assembly Bill 35, that increase physicians’ liabilities for claims of medical negligence.
  • Formulate specific steps that physicians and practice managers can take to improve patient safety in their practices with the support of their Medical Professional Liability company

The discussion will be followed by audience Q&A. All registrants will receive the recording and slides once they are available.
