Session Summary: California Medical Association is a professional organization dedicated to serving their member physicians through a comprehensive program of legislative, legal, regulatory, economic and social advocacy. 
This month’s presentation will include:

·         New California Laws and how they affect physician practices

·         Legal Affairs in the Courts -- CMA's advocacy in the courts

·         CMA Legal Resources to assist physician practices

ABOUT STACEY WITTORFF: Stacey serves as Legal Counsel in the California Medical Association’s Center for Legal Affairs. Stacey advocates on behalf of California physicians on issues primarily related to managed care, Medi-Cal, and workers’ compensation, including physician reimbursement and contracting.  Stacey also oversees CMA's legal information line which provides information about California and federal laws to CMA physician members. She previously served as Associate Director in CMA’s Center for Health Policy, focusing on health managed care issues in the regulatory arena and advocated for physicians with the Department of Managed Health Care, the Department of Insurance, and Covered California.
