President's Letter
Letter from the President April 2008 What a great opportunity lies ahead for all of us in CAMGMA this year. We have a great new energetic board, very active region leaders, and many difficult issues in our path. As this year progresses, we will all have to rely on our collective ideas and assistance to address issues of California healthcare legislation, Medicare fee schedule changes, and the continuing efforts to deal with the Medi-Cal budget and rates. Your ideas are encouraged and welcome. Please do not hesitate to contact me, or any other board members, if you have any questions, or ideas that will help to improve our association. This year we are doing annual conference planning in conjunction with the California Medical Association Leadership Academy meeting. It is our hope that this relationship will provide our members with many of the benefits and resources available through CMA to its members. Your board continues to focus on the value and resources it can bring to members in all regions. Hopefully, our new more functional website, the energy we are focusing on web based presentations, and arrangements made to provide state sponsored programs to the regions during the year, will again give each member the ongoing value and networking that makes professional associations thrive.
